Bromley Hall is part of the Leaside Business Centre. The entrance is on the A12 (although the address is Gillender Street). As you look at the Leaside Business Centre from the A12, there is a large silver fence and gates with the ‘LBC’ logo. At the back of the car park is a red office complex constructed from containers. To the right of the car park is the old Bromley Library, and Bromley Hall is to the left. The entrance is at the rear of the building, as pictured above.

By Tube

Bromley by Bow
Tube Station is on the District and Hammersmith & City Lines.

Travelling from the West, you will need to catch a train that has a destination of Upminster, Dagenham East, Barking or Plaistow. Many Hammersmith & City Line trains terminate at Whitechapel and so it is advisable to catch the first train and change at Aldgate East to catch a train from the same platform to one of the destinations above.

From East London catch a district Line Train to Richmond, Ealing Broadway or Wimbledon or a Hammersmith & City line train to Hammersmith.

On leaving Bromley by Bow tube station, veer left and down the stairs to use the pedestrian subway to cross under the A12. Once on the opposite side of the road, head South (in the direction of traffic) and walk along Gillender Street. Gillender Street runs parallel to the A12. As Gillender Street joins the A12, Bromley Hall is situated directly in front of you. Walk past the building to the car park entrance. The entrance is situated at the rear of the building.

By Bus

Bus 488 runs from Clapton and stops at Bromley By Bow Tube Station

Bus 108 runs from Stratford to Lewisham.

From the North, alight at St Leonard’s Wharf (in Gillender Street) which is just before Bromley Hall or Lochnagar Street (on the A12) which is just after Bromley Hall.

From the South, alight at St Leonard’s Wharf (on A12) and walk under the subway.

Bus 323 runs from Mile End to Canning Town. Alight at Bromley By Bow or London gas Museum (in Twelvetrees Crescent). These stops are on opposite sides of the A12 but are a similar distance away from Bromley Hall.

Bus 309 runs from the London Chest Hospital in Bethnal Green to Canning Town (DLR). Alight at the Teviot Street stop in Zetland Street on the west side of the A12 or the Leven Road stop in Abbott Road on the east side of the A12.

From Teviot Street, walk to the end of Zetland Street and turn left. Go under the subway and proceed north along the A12 to Bromley Hall.

From the Leven Road stop, walk along Abbott Road towards the A12. Turn right at the end of the road and proceed northwards along the A12 to Bromley Hall.

By DLR

The nearest DLR station is Langdon Park which is on the line between Stratford and Poplar. This station opened in December 2007 and is not shown on the map. If you alight from the train on platform 1 (i.e. coming from Canary Wharf towards Stratford) you will need to cross the line using the footbridge. As you leave the station you will see a school. To the left of the school is Bright Street. Walk to the end of Bright Street and turn left into St.Leonard’s Road (at the station, to the left of Bright Street, is a lit footpath across the park which cuts off the corner). About 100 yards ahead you will find Zetland Street on the right. Walk to the end of Zetland Street and turn left. Go under the subway and proceed north (against the flow of the traffic) for about 30 yards along the A12 to Bromley Hall.

Another nearby DLR station is Devons Road which is on the same line as the Langdon Park station. On leaving the station turn right and walk along Devons Road and then turn right into Empson Road. The road bends at 90 0 to the left. When you reach the A12 use the subway to cross the road to Gillender Street and follow the directions as from Bromley By Bow Station.

By Road

Bromley Hall is situated on the A12.

From the North after the A11 turn off you will see a Tescos on the left and then Bromley By Bow tube station to your right. As you proceed down the hill towards the Blackwall Tunnel you will see Gillender Street to your left running parallel to the main road. Go slowly along the inside lane. Just after Gillender Street emerges on to the A12 Bromley Hall will be to your left. The car park is immediately after the building and is a sharp turn to your left.

From the South you will need to drive past Bromley Hall and turn off (local traffic) to the left into Devas Street. Turn immediately right into Twelvetrees Crescent. This road goes under the A12. At the end of the crescent turn right and then left into Gillender Street.
